The Jewel of the Highlands

Plockton

Plockton

Set on a sheltered east-facing bay of Loch Carron, Plockton has sweeping views of sea and mountain, the temperate climate allowing palm trees to flourish along iconic Harbour Street. The village is famed as the setting for BBC’s Hamish Macbeth and the Wickerman film.

The cottages are a 5-minute walk to the village centre, with The Plockton Hotel, Gather & Graze shop and restaurant & The Plockton Inn, all well-reputed for their food & drink (best to pre-book in the summer). Harbour Street also hosts a handful of cafes and take-away options. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained, with Calum’s Seal trips top of the list, in addition to stunning local walks.
