Both Plockton Hotel and Plockton Inn have won national awards for their seafood in the past couple of years, while the Plockton Shores has gained an excellent reputation in recent years.  Both the Plockton Fish Bar and Shonzeys serve fish and chips, while Off the Croft offers many other takeaway options. The village is ideal as a base for exploring the Isle of Skye or further afield, to Applecross, Glenelg or even Torridon. The world-famous Eilean Donan Castle is a 20 minute drive. But there's plenty to do nearby, including Calum's Seal Trips, outdoor sports, climbing, fishing, Skye and Lochalsh's only outdoor bowling green, and of course unlimited climbing. Skye and Lochalsh Paddle Boarding (https://www.slpb.co.uk/) are based on site and offer a number of different experiences in the Loch close by.
